The "Points of Support" program — a partnership of charitable foundations operating in Greece — launched in 2015 with the goal of helping grassroots civil society organizations implement innovative, small-scale initiatives with high social impact, as well as building their capacity to enhance long-term sustainability.

In January 2025, our Foundation is contributing again to the 8th cycle of the Points of Support (PoS) Program as a donor, funding three organizations focused on sustainable urban development and community building.

The program’s key objectives are twofold: first, to support original, small-scale projects of significant social impact; and second, to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of small and medium-sized civil society organizations. This ensures their long-term development and enables them to continue their valuable work in their respective communities.

In the framework of the 8th cycle of the Program (2025-2026), 10 Foundations are collaborating to fund up to 33 projects. These projects will be implemented over a period of up to 8 months, and they align with the following thematic areas as defined by the Program's funders:

I. Social Integration of People with Disabilities (John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation)
II. Support for Elderly People (TIMA Charitable Foundation)
III. Child and Health (Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)
IV. Combating Poverty and the Food Crisis (The Hellenic Initiative Canada)
V. Environmental Protection

i. Protection of Flora and Fauna in Urban and Suburban Environments (A. G. Leventis Foundation)
ii. Protection of Aquatic Ecosystems: Seas, Lakes, Rivers, and Wetlands (A. C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation)
iii. Protection of Forest and Other Terrestrial Ecosystems (Costas M. Lemos Foundation)

VI. Support for Island and Coastal Local Communities (Athina I. Martinou Foundation)
VII. Sustainable Cities and Communities (Helidoni Foundation)

Utilization of donation

The application period for the 8th cycle of the program ended on April 30, 2025, and the results will be announced in July 2025. The three organizations selected by our Foundation, along with the overall results of the supported initiatives, will be announced soon.
