As a philanthropist, Dimitris channels his efforts through the Helidoni Foundation, which is dedicated to raising awareness about conscious consumption, steward ownership, and civic engagement. A significant portion of the foundation's work is concentrated in Greece, where it aims to inspire meaningful change and community participation.

Through the Helidoni Group, Dimitris invests in companies within the sustainability sector, seeking businesses that develop solutions to minimize emissions and reduce waste. His investments reflect a commitment to environmental stewardship and the pursuit of sustainable innovation.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, Buildium is a property management software company offering cloud-based solutions for property managers, landlords, and real estate professionals. The platform allows users to manage rental properties, track finances, communicate with tenants, and streamline operations efficiently. In 2019, Buildium was acquired by RealPage, Inc., a leading provider of property management solutions, marking a significant milestone in its journey.

Outseta is an all-in-one platform designed to support subscription-based businesses. It combines tools for CRM, subscription billing, email marketing, and customer support, enabling startups to grow without relying on a complex stack of software. Outseta also serves as an experiment in organizational purpose and design, drawing inspiration from the principles outlined in Frederic Laloux’s Reinventing Organizations. It emphasizes transparency, self-management, and a progressive approach to how businesses operate.

Sarah is an artist and educator with a background in design and branding services and technological literacy. She coaches others in achieving their entrepreneurial, communication, and creator goals in self-publishing and social media, through the use of apps and tools such as WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite.

Through the Helidoni Foundation, Sarah supports Greece-based organizations seeking to have positive social and environmental impact in finding their voice, connecting with a wider audience, and implementing a plan for self-sufficiency and sustainability.

Alexis is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business leadership, marketing, and corporate social responsibility. As the Managing Director of Helidoni Foundation, Alexis brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and social impact initiatives. His career spans leadership roles in major corporations, including OTE Group, Hellenic Post, and Liberis Publications, where he led large teams, spearheaded digital transformation projects, and achieved outstanding sales and operational results.

Beyond the corporate world, Alexis has a deep commitment to community service and social responsibility. He has served on numerous boards, including Tennis Europe, the Hellenic Tennis Federation, and the Municipal Corporation of Filothei-Psychico. His work in corporate sustainability, recognized by international bodies such as the International Post Corporation and the Universal Postal Union, reflects his dedication to ethical business practices and environmental responsibility.

A Certified CSR Practitioner and active member of various professional and civic organizations, Alexis continuously seeks innovative ways to support sustainable development, youth empowerment, and community well-being. His efforts at Helidoni Foundation are driven by a passion for creating meaningful social change through collaboration, innovation, and responsible business practices.

With an academic background in International & European Economic Studies and 20 years of experience in major commercial enterprises, Dimitra made a decisive career shift to dedicate her energy and knowledge to impactful, purpose-driven work. That’s when she met Dimitris and Sarah and became immersed in philanthropy.

Since the Helidoni Foundation’s inception, Dimitra has led operations and played a key role in its growth and strategic direction, while strengthening ties with the Greek Civil Society ecosystem. Now, transitioning into a new role, she focuses on unlocking European funding opportunities for Helidoni’s beneficiaries, providing them with resources to broaden their impact.

Christiana, with a background in statistics and professional experience in marketing and project management, joined Helidoni Group—Dimitris Georgakopoulos' family office—in May 2024. Motivated by her interest in social impact, she also became involved with the Helidoni Foundation to contribute to its mission.

In her role, Christiana is responsible for communication with grantees and provides administrative support, ensuring the smooth implementation of projects. Her analytical skills and organizational expertise support the foundation’s efforts to create meaningful and sustainable impact.
