Introduction

In April 2021, our Foundation made a grant to Impact Hub Athens to support Mpostani. Impact Hub Athens is a network of social-driven and creative professionals that are dedicated into prototyping the future of business. From social inclusion and integration to environment and fair trade, it is engaging expertise from its worldwide presence and creating a net of intercultural, high impact community that acts locally and internationally.

Utilization of donation

Mpostani, a mutual initiative of Impact Hub Athens and European Village, is an uninterrupted consumer and producer physical & digital market that is technologically empowered with the use of an e-shop platform for orders & a physical space for pickups and further sales to local consumers. This innovative tool helps producers expand their clients base & professionalize their service, while facilitating access to healthy, nutritious & qualitative food for any consumer. Mpostani's objectives are to:

- increase flexibility/accessibility to healthy fresh food

- raise awareness on conscious consuming

- educate consumers on food sustainability

- build capacity for producers

- reduce footprint from farm to fork

- reduce food waste

The long term vision for the project is the creation of a dynamic network of communities buying fresh food directly from local producers and farmers, enabling focal points throughout Attica and Greece. This initiative can empower more individuals, teams and professionals to get involved in sustainable practices from farm to fork.
